We had a holiday filled weekend! We joined some neighbors in an excursion up to the mountains to hunt for and find our very own Christmas tree. Despite the trip taking a little longer than we anticipated (which can make for a grouchy pregnant lady and one-year old), it was just like you see in the movies! We put Lily in a sled and searched for the perfect tree. The only thing is in Colorado, trees don't grow so "perfect". But they do have character!
I also baked cookies this weekend. It was the first time in a VERY long time! But I now understand why mothers and grandmothers spoil their kids as long as they can with cookies. My mom still makes my favorites whenever she's going to see me and Jason's mom sends Jason's favorites every Christmas. How can you deprive your child of something they love this much?
