Weekend at Home

We were suppose to go on a camping trip with some of our neighborhood friends this weekend, but last minute we backed out because we decided we needed a weekend at home to help Lily get over some issues she's been having with ear infections.

The lady who will be watching Lily at her in-home daycare in August watched Lily for awhile on Friday evening while Jason and I played 9-holes of golf. It was my first time playing in 2 years other than the hole I played 2 days before Lily was born. (I had to see what it was like to swing a club with a big belly... plus the bumpy ride in the cart didn't hurt moving things along.)

We also went on a hike in Golden Gate Canyon on Saturday which is really close to our home. Jared and Emerson joined us...

We stopped at the top for a snack. It ended up being a little longer hike than we thought we'd be doing, so on the way down, we had a little sleeper!

Just In

Here are our fourth of July pics. Jason grew a dirty mustache for the occasion. It might become a theme for our 4th of July get-togethers. Yuck!

Odds and Ends

Is it just me or does she look so grown up on her new bike? I just can't believe how fast the time goes. She's not my squishy little newborn anymore!

We're about 99.9% certain she's going to have curly hair. She'll be getting lessons from mom on how to control the frizz when she gets older!

Earlier this week, we were handed an incident report when we picked Lily up from daycare. It said "While Lily was playing in the jumperoo another child leaned over and bit her on the arm". And attached to that report was another incident report that said "Lily was waiting to crawl through the tunnel when another child bit her on the arm". Apparently there's a little boy at daycare that either A. has a crush on Lily or B. thinks Lily is a teething ring! It's hard to see in this picture, but the bite mark is right above her elbow. Poor Lily!

Happy Birthday, USA!

We vacationed at the Hertz's mountain house for the 4th of July again this year. Lily was in bed by 7:30, so we didn't see much for fireworks. But the adults spent the morning boating on Lake Dillon. It was beautiful weather!

Our camera battery was dead, so I'm waiting for pictures from the 4th to be sent to me. In the meantime, enjoy another video of our little mover and shaker!
