Keystone Spring Break 09

My good friend, Amy, came to visit us last weekend. We hung out in Boulder on Friday night where Jason and Amy drank for 3 since I wasn't drinking! God love the margaritas at the Rio!

We had really nice weather in Denver, so we took some time on Saturday to have breakfast in downtown Golden and go for a walk/hike. We made our way up to Dillon and gave spring skiing a shot on Sunday. I made it one run and decided it was a little too icy to risk it. Jason and Amy had a full day of skiing in 60 degree weather! Not the greatest snow, but you couldn't beat the blue skies and sunshine!

Now that our busy season is over, it's back to real life for Jason and I!

Steamboat Spring Break 09

Four families from our cul de sac packed up and headed to Steamboat for a Spring Break trip in March. We stayed at Karen's brother's condo which was plenty big for 8 kids and 8 adults! The snow didn't quite live up to the champagne powder Steamboat is known for, but it was perfect spring skiing with sunny, blue skies!

Back at the condo the kids and adults took full advantage of the snow slide. We also took full advantage of the opportunity to get a babysitter and have a night out!

This is what happens when adults are left unsupervised mixing margaritas, Mexican food and sombreros.

Viva Las Vegas

We made what's become an annual spring trip to Las Vegas at the beginning of March. I had a conference I attended for work, but spent the rest of the week with my Mom. We got to deliver the news about the baby on the way in person which was a lot of fun! Especially because my Mom took extra good care of me the whole week!

Jason and Mark got to golf the course my Mom lives on (Aliante) while Mom and I got pedicures and went shopping! We also visited the Hoover Dam. Jason and I have both been to Vegas many times and have never seen the dam. I'm thinking that's the case for a lot of people who visit Vegas... there seems to be a lot of distractions that are more entertaining than a national historic landmark.
