Jason & Lisa's Day of Fun

To celebrate our 2-year wedding anniversary that is coming up on Tuesday, we had a day of fun here in Denver! We thought it was about time for us to go to Elitch Gardens (Six Flags Amusement Park) for the first time since we've almost lived here 5 years now! It was your typical amusement park... hot, sweaty and on a sugar high! We headed over to Coor's Field after a couple roller coaster rides for a beer fest that our neighbor gave us tickets to. We got to taste 60+ local brewery's beers. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you see it) we didn't have time to taste them all!

This is a picture after we road Twister II, a wooden roller coaster that, by some act of God, didn't lose any bolts while we were riding it.

This is a crack addict juggling water bottles trying to steel the show from the paid jugglers. She was actually more entertaining.

We got to cool off afterwards with a few beers at the beer fest!

We Have Lights!

Our two month project is finally over! Jason started working on installing patio lights before we left for Europe. We finally finished the project this last weekend. These pictures are mostly for the benefit of my dad who donated some of his own blood and sweat, but thought everyone might be interested in seeing the end product.

Our First Triathlon

Jason and I completed our first triathlon this weekend. Granted, it was only a sprint tri (500 yd swim, 12 mile bike, 5k run), but it was an accomplishment considering neither of us are swimmers! We both finished under our goal time then headed to the lake to wake board with some friends. It was a physically exhausting day, but a lot of fun!

Summer Break

I had the whole week of the July 4th off this year. My dad came out to visit and help with a few projects around the house. He helped with getting lights installed on our back patio and when he wasn't working on that, we spent some time at the pool, hiking in Boulder and just taking it easy!

Jason and I headed up to Dillon for the 4th. We spent the day on a boat at Lake Dillon with our neighbors, Jake and Karen, and a few other of their friends. The weather was perfect and the summer beers were flowing!

Six hours on a boat goes by really fast when you're drinking summer beers!

Jason's "Little Blue" radio was a staple on his boat when we lived in Kansas City. It's nice to see it still has a purpose!
